Google Universal Analytics is deprecated and needs to be upgraded. This session will cover changes required for the implementation and usage of data from Google Analytics 4.

In this section we will describe some tactics and techniques useful in converting a portlet to a Web Component + RESTful API. The goal is to break down the conversion into bite-sized efforts.

In this hands-on workshop, attendees will be encouraged to take an existing community portlet and start writing the web component or RESTfulAPI replacement.

With the variety of components, flows, and dependencies in uPortal, along with the open source nature of the application, makes repeatable, automated, end to end testing all that more important. uPortal has adopted the framework of Playwright to assist in this effort. Come learn how to work with Playwright, how it is integrated into uPortal, and be prepared to discuss how we as a community and in your specific adoption, can enhance automated end to end testing for a better portal experience.

In this discussion, we will cover the major architecture changes planned for uPortal 6. This session will be heavily influenced by the Roadmap session. The architecture change has two goals: make uPortal more cloud-friendly and easier to manage as a service.
